COMPANY PROFILE

SCWS is a company that, for more than four decades, has provided a comprehensive design, fabrication and erection service for structural steel work projects. The scope of our work includes cladding, metalwork, metal floor decking and concrete products.

The factory has the capacity to produce over 280 tonnes per week of coated structural steelwork for projects throughout the United Kingdom.

FACILITIES

The factory premises comprise in excess of 20,000 sq m of modern workshops occupying an 18 acre site in the Norfolk town of Dereham. Twenty overhead cranes service the entire manufacturing with a maximum single lift capacity of 20 tonne.

SKILL & EXPERTISE

• Drawing Office staff utilise X-Steel computer aided draughting with direct download of manufacturing data files to the production machines.
• Automatic Shot Blasting provides a range of surface preparation for the full spectrum of protective coatings.
• A skilled manufacturing workforce that includes fully coded MIG welders
• Manufacturing processes that can handle a wide range of structural sections up to and including a depth of 1200mm and 20 tonnes in weight
• The ability to fabricate all the full range of steel fabrications

QUALITY

SCWS utilises a full documented quality control system throughout its critical processes that include the provision of all certification to comply with the maintenance manual requirements of CDM Regulations.
